Looking for a walk-in or sliding shower enclosure in Bangalore? Bathsy builds toughened-glass enclosures to fit your exact bathroom layout, with a free site visit, custom design, and installation in about 7 days. Here’s what to know about choosing the right enclosure type.

Sliding Shower Doors

A sliding shower door runs on a top track rather than swinging outward, which makes it the most space-efficient option for smaller Bangalore bathrooms where a swing door would bump into a sink or toilet. Available in single-door and double-door configurations, in any of our five glass finishes.

Walk-In & Open Enclosures

Our L-Shape and Partial enclosures create a walk-in feel — a fixed glass panel or two-wall corner setup without a full cabin, giving an open, modern look while still containing water to the shower area. The Partial (Arched) option adds a curved top profile for a softer silhouette.

Toughened Glass Shower Cubicles

Every Bathsy enclosure — sliding, swing, L-shape, or partial — is built from 8mm or 10mm toughened (tempered) safety glass. Toughened glass goes through a controlled heat-treatment process that makes it several times stronger than ordinary glass, and if it ever does break, it fractures into small, blunt granules instead of sharp shards. Read more about how toughened glass safety works.

Choosing the Right Hardware

All enclosure types are available with Chrome, Matte Black, Rose Gold, Glossy Gold, or Brush Gold hardware, in SS 304 grade fittings. Chrome is the standard, most budget-friendly option; the colored finishes add a design upgrade at a modest premium.

What It Costs

Pricing starts from ₹649 per sq.ft. (ex-GST) for Clear glass with Chrome hardware. See our full Bangalore price guide for the complete breakdown by glass and hardware combination, or use the Quick Quote tool for an estimate on your bathroom.

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s the difference between a sliding and a swing shower door?
A sliding door runs on a track and doesn’t need clearance to open, making it better for tight bathrooms. A swing door hinges open like a regular door and needs floor clearance, but can give a slightly more premium, hotel-style feel.

Is a walk-in enclosure as water-tight as a full cabin?
A well-designed partial or L-shape enclosure contains water effectively for normal shower use, though a full sliding or swing cabin gives marginally more coverage for a high-pressure shower head.
